Randy Gunter, Vice President

randy@sparksg.co

Randy Gunter is vice president and co-owner of Spark Solutions Group. At Spark, Randy oversees the service and sales operations as well as all of the company’s accounting and administrative functions. To say that he has his hands in a lot of pies is an understatement. In 2007, Randy started his career in the POS world as a programmer/trainer. A few years later, he became the director of operations at Cowans Restaurant Solutions, and then with the purchase of the Boise and Spokane markets, moved into his current role as vice president and partner.

Along with his thorough understanding of the POS world, Randy also possesses a solid background in restaurant operations. Having been the director of operations for the Trio Restaurant Group in Salt Lake City for several years offers him the unique ability to fully understand the needs of the restaurant and how best our POS products will help our customers. It is also helpful that Randy’s family owns a restaurant, Luigi’s, in Kemmerer, Wyoming. Being a foodie is definitely in his blood, mixed with a healthy dose of garlic and oregano from his Italian heritage.

However, Randy’s background isn’t all about food. His business experience was primarily attained in corporate America. Working at such companies as GE Capital, AchieveGlobal and Sysco taught him firsthand how top companies function and what best practices he could apply from this knowledge. Randy is also a true Aggie, having graduated from Utah State University in 1995 with a BS in marketing.
